Conduct an in-depth analysis of TOGAF to either DoDAF or FEAF. Although you may use the assigned readings, you are to add the results of your own scholarly literature search and analysis to a 6 to 8 double spaced page paper that addresses the following questions. How are the Enterprise Architecture Framework components used by FEAF/DoDAF and TOGAF a) Similar? What need(s) are they trying to address? b) Different? Can you determine why this is so? c) Are both of these frameworks equally useful for all situations? Provide examples. d) What are their strengths and weaknesses? Be sure to provide examples. Some guidance in how to do this assignment: * Be sure you clearly address the questions asked for above – similarities, differences, usefulness, and strengths/weaknesses. Address this directly – perhaps even structure the paper around these points. * An effective paper will speak directly to the questions and to the comparisons. Avoid a situation where the narrative talks (sort of) about the topic but the reader would have to make inferences about your meaning or make their own comparisons from the information provided. * This is a research paper, so statements such as “I think…” or “I found…” or “I like…” are not to be used. So, use citations by significant sources, do your own analysis (e.g., comparing differences or commonalities in those sources) and layer your analysis on top of that cited work. * Review to be sure to address the points in the grading rubric. Are your assertions supported by citations from the reading or additional sources? Does the paper reveal clearly the understanding you have gained on EA frameworks? * As always, spelling and grammar also count. Getting a friend, family member or co-worker to read over your paper can greatly improve the effectiveness of a paper. * You may use the Sessions article as one of your supporting sources for this paper but it should not be the only or primary source used.
