Do students learn better in same-sex classrooms?
Your goal in the paper should be understanding the issue first, then developing and making your point, not just repeating everything that’s been said on your topic, or driving a particular agenda. Remember to keep your focus analytical, addressing how and why questions about your subject. Next, begin finding sources that you’ll use for your research paper. These should be high quality, academic sources, including books, or journals found through EBSCO, Project MUSE, or JSTOR. Then, for each source, write a complete works cited entry, correctly following MLA style. Essay 2 will be an analytical research paper: a 2000+ word analytical/argument essay on the approved topic that will use (quote, paraphrase, or summarize) and properly cite (with in-text citations and a corresponding works cited) at least 6 sources from academic research. Quality and variety of sources will be part of the grade for this assignment. (Properly cite = in-text citation wherever the source is used and an exactly corresponding works cited entry for each source. The in-texts and work cited page must match.) Your own thoughts, evaluation, and analysis should comprise 80-85% of the essay; material from sources should be no more than 15-20%of the paper. All assignments will be typed using 12-point type, reasonable font, double-spaced, with one inch margins. Assignments not meeting these requirements will not be accepted
