What is the psychosocial theoretical model? How does it relate to the development of the field of abnormal psychology?

In this class, we will be exploring different possible etiologies (causes) for many different mental illnesses. We will also explore factors that can influence (in a positive or negative manner) a mental illness that already exists. In doing so, we must first understand the basic categories.
