Purpose and Content of Paper: The purpose of this paper is to review existing research on behavioral finance and summarize the researchers’ results. Your summary should include: 1) a listing and brief discussion of at least five existing research papers in the area of behavioral finance. Doing a more thorough job by listing and discussing more papers will increase your grade.; 2) The discussion should include the justification for each paper, the data used, the methodology used and conclusions; 3) There should also be a summary and analysis of contributions from all papers reviewed and your conclusions concerning where research on behavioral finance is and where researchers think it will go.; and 4) Your opinion/answers to the following questions: • How does behavioral finance impact efficient markets theories? Can markets be efficient if investors aren’t always rational? • As a young investor who is planning his/her retirement investments now, how should behavioral finance theories influence what you plan to do?
