Students at a local high

school, the LA Eagles, have formed a law club. They want to make a tee shirt for their club. Their idea is to take the logo from the “Law and Order” TV show and change it to “Claw and Order” for the shirt. On the back of the shirt they want to print words similar to the “Law and Order: SVU” introduction, but changed to be about their club. The actual introduction from the show reads “In the criminal justice system, sexually based offenses are considered especially heinous. In New York City, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit. These are their stories.” The students want to change the words to “In the educational system, legally based courses are considered especially challenging. At LA High School, the dedicated students who investigate these difficult classes are members of an elite squad known as Law Club. These are their stories.”

Can the students legally print the shirts as they propose?
