This means you will need to decide whether you agree or not with the statement above. Whilst you may wish to touch on ethical aspects of work with animals, you should not become side-tracked by this. Your essay must give at least four examples of animal models/studies from Books 2 and 3, and can include supporting material from Book 1 and the multimedia map. Of the marks available, up to 4 marks can be gained for the content of your introduction and conclusion and your tutor will award up to 8 marks for essay structure (i.e. a clear introduction, conclusion and appropriate paragraph structure), clarity and appropriate referencing. This question carries 40% of the marks for this assignment and assesses module learning outcomes KU3, CS1 and KS2. It is relevant to SDK228 Books 1, 2 and 3 and the associated multimedia. The purpose of this question is to practise using a range of information from SDK228 to illustrate and evaluate a key concept in mental health. The skill of using e.g. evidence and examples from SDK228, correctly referenced, will be essential for the essay questions in future assignments on this module.
