Are individuals morally required to reduce their emissions of greenhouse gases?

Supervision Question: All of us act in ways that cause the emission of greenhouse gases (GHGs). We can foresee that this will have effects on the climate that are likely to produce very bad, perhaps disastrous outcomes. Yet, the emissions caused by any particular individual’s acts make no difference to whether or not those outcomes occur. In this situation, are individuals morally required to reduce their emissions of GHGs? Why or why not?
