For this journal assignment I want you to identify three (3) different areas of future employment that relate in some way to Public Safety career paths. Do not research three police services or three private investigation agencies. Research and outline what the initial requirements for recruits/new employees would be for each employment type. Look at the total picture of the employment. Include schooling required, personality of successful applicants, additional talents such as languages, specific skills, volunteerism choices, tests required within the hiring process, hiring methods, locations (if applicable). After you have done the research on the different employments evaluate your current ability to meet the most basic requirements. identify why i would fit in as a good candidate. Then look at the skills, education etc. you need to work on over the next five years to better prepare yourself to apply for positions in these areas. Consider that some positions require you to “work your way up” to be considered a suitable candidate. If that is the case with one of your choices look at the steps you will take to improve your suitability. Look at the program map of your two year course in the Investigation: Public and Private program and outline what each course you feel, you will be able to draw skills from in improving yourself and enhancing your abilities. Do not just look at hard skills (specific job skills) but also consider soft skills you will be working on like team building, professionalism, communication, conflict resolution, collaboration etc. The Full Instructions are in the Journal Assignment W17 word file this a Canadian investigation Course from Ontario, Canada
