Aspect of tension and its resolution in the lives of Taiwanese people.

Write a research paper of 7 pages on an aspect of tension and its resolution (or difficulty of a reconciliation) in the lives of Taiwanese people. The paper should put Taiwan in both local and global contexts. Please utilize both primary and secondary sources. Primary sources may include autobiographies, biographies, fiction, poetry, documentary films, movies, government documents, newspaper reports, etc. Secondary sources are scholarly articles/books (check our library collections, in hard copies and/or online). Document your paper by footnotes wherever you quote, paraphrase, or make reference to a source material. You are encouraged to discuss possible paper topic with the instructor throughout the semester.
