Students, please submit your annotated bibliography by the end of week 5. Attached are more details and a paper example. MILH360 Annotated Bibliography During the MILH360 course you will write three (3), 125-word annotations on articles or academic journals of your choice and prepare an annotated bibliography. This assignment provides students with an opportunity to broaden their understanding of the topics we are studying in this course, and provides them with the flexibility to choose articles or journals written about the battles you will analyze in your final paper. I strongly suggest that you get the most out of this assignment by taking the articles you choose for this assignment and also utilizing them on your research paper. (The Battle of Midway) In short, an annotation is basically a condensed version of the larger article or journal. It is not a review of the article and should not contain any personal opinions whatsoever; rather, the annotation should provide the reader with a solid overview of the contents of the article or journal. The annotation begins with a bibliographic listing (exactly as it would appear on a bibliography page at the end of a research paper.) Then, after doublespacing, the 150-word, double-spaced annotation is written. Your final product will contain three pages, each containing an annotation of an article you have selected based on the battle you are analyzing in MILH360. Each of your three annotations will contain the following elements: the author’s background and/or credibility, the author’s main thesis, the author’s intended audience, the main subject and the main points of the article, and the strengths and weaknesses of the article (such as whether the author could have included any additional information that would have been helpful in understanding the topic.) You will note that some of the sites from colleges and universities provide slightly conflicting information in terms of the length of the annotations, but in this course each of your annotations will range from 125 to 225 words
