Individual Final Paper Assignment (6-8 pages, minimum of 3 scholarly sources, 12-point font, Research/Literature and Program Review: The first segment of the paper involves researching best practices, including needs of individuals returning to the community after incarceration, and existing reentry programs and preparing a comprehensive review. This should include both “what works” as well as what is lacking or overlooked. Possible Solutions: After detailing the problems within reentry services and assistance, you should then describe and analyze potential remedies to address the most pressing issues. Within this section you will propose potential solutions that may help improve programmatic outcomes (i.e., reduce recidivism). Each solution should include the following information – Description of the nature of the problem(s) – Description of solutions that could be proposed – Rationale as to why the solution will work – Rationale as to why solutions may not. Lastly, description of how the program or solution might be evaluated as to whether it is effective (how do you measure “success”?)
