Causes of Jail and Prison Overcrowding

Each student will complete a research paper on a selected topic related to the criminal justice system that was reviewed in class. Deliverable length is 4-8 pages not counting the cover, abstract, and reference pages. Worth 15% of course grade. No more than 5% of the written assignment in this course may be attributed to referenced sources. Full details will be discussed in class. Each student will be responsible for submitting a research paper. The student is allowed to select the topic they would like to write about, but it needs to be part of this course system and something that was reviewed in class. The paper must also incorporate a section on the Saint Leo Core Value of Responsible Stewardship. You will need to explain how your topic exemplifies the value. Please keep this in mind when selecting your topic. The paper must be at least 6-10 pages excluding the title page, abstract page, and reference page, and must adhere to the APA 6th edition writing format. Please reference the APA example given in doc sharing. If you paper does not comply with this format you will lose points.
