Childhood obesity, deficiencies in specific nutrients such as iron in teenagers, and osteoporosis in the elderly are some of the top nutritional concerns. You will evaluate other nutritional concerns these age groups face and what sound nutritional advice you can offer based on your readings this week.

Topic 1: Child, Teen, and Elderly Nutrition

Conduct some additional research on your own and be prepared to discuss the following in your initial post:

Choose a nutritional problem for each age group:

children 2–12

teenagers 13–18

elderly 65+

Discuss current trends and literature surrounding each of the three problems you have identified.

Discuss steps you would recommend if you were appointed to a special committee to help improve these issues.
