In addition you are to watch the TEDTalk given by Jamie Oliver: Teach every child about food | Jamie Oliver Your assignment is to demonstrate that you have thought, learned, and made new awarenesses about some of the developmental concepts or topics presented in the book, video (when presented) and directed websites. Your assignment should answer the following questions. Question 1 Describe how childhood obesity is defined. Question 2 Describe how childhood obesity affects cognitive, emotional and physical development. Question 3 Describe the immediate and long-term consequences of childhood obesity. Question 4 Do you think that more prevention is needed in our society? If so, what else needs to be done to reduce childhood obesity? What could you do to help with this public health issue?
