Choose a topic from 1600 – 1865 and a painting that has historical meaning for that topic.

In a word document, include the painting, and list the name of the painting, the painters name, where it may be viewed, and description of the painting. Write a critical analysis 0f 500-750 words of how this painting illustrates the possible socio-economic, religious, political overtones of the topic in its time period. Include Bibliography with MLA formatted citations for a wide range of primary and secondary sources, including books, newspaper articles, periodicals and scholarly journals. Midterm MUST be submitted both as a Word Document to both the midterm assessment site on BB and also to Turnitin on BB. Your grade for this assignment is heavily based on the critical thinking rubric.
