In this scene, Sam tells Flint that her true identity is a “nerd” but she gave up the thing she loved the most (the science of weather) because the kids in school made fun of her. She also tells Flint that she use to wear glasses and have a pony tail. Fling puts her glasses back on, fixes her hair into a pony tail, and tells her she looks beautiful. She says she can’t go out in public with glasses on and wearing a pony tail, but Flint says “it’s the real you right? Who wouldn’t want to see that?” My question to you is this. How important is it for each of us to let the world see who we really are? How important is it of us to resist the criticism of others and pursue what we truly want to do?
