After completing the virtual “Architectural Web Tour #1”, respond to the following questions on the discussion board (each in a concise paragraph):

1. Consider the two architectural styles of Modernism and Postmodernism. Which do you prefer? Which buildings seem more inviting, more comfortable? In which building style would you not enjoy spending time? Which philosophy is more evident in the actual building?
2. How does a movement evolve from its predecessor? Do you think that movements randomly appear or do they transform from previous ideas that have grown stagnant? Do you see an evolution from Modernism to Postmodernism?

   1. Do you think Frank Gehry is a Deconstructivist or does he create Blobitecture? Why do you place him in the category you chose? Give concrete examples of Gehry’s design choices that influence your decision.
   2. Do you like this type of architecture?  How do you   respond to these buildings? Are you intrigued by them? Are you repulsed   by them?  Does Frank Gehry’s philosophy resonate with you?
