Contemporary issues/concerns facing African Americans

Students will write a final “Blog Post” on the contemporary issues/concerns facing African Americans. Part I—In Chapter 23 of the textbook, the authors write that DuBois would “be appalled” by some issues /concerns that still plague African Americans. As outlined in the last chapters of the textbook, what are the contemporary issues/ concerns facing African Americans? You must identify and fully discuss the significance of a minimum of five (5). Which of the five issues/concerns have roots in post-World War II America? As discussed in the reading, lectures, videos, and other materials, what factors contribute to the continuing of issues/ concerns over decades? Part II—What recommendations do the authors present to resolve the issues/concerns? Do you agree or disagree with their recommendations? Why? Fully explain your answers.
