In many organizations, the performance evaluation process typically ends with a performance appraisal. If a performance action plan or performance improvement plan (PIP) is not utilized, employees will not have guidelines nor the opportunity to improve their performance. For this discussion, you will take on the role of a manager and create a PIP based on the following scenario: An employee does not demonstrate the necessary skills for his or her current job role.
