In the unlike event that this project returns to failure, who will be accountable? ** How do you feel that Robert is pressed from the Jack to initiate the project immediately, without the final confirmation from the Operations Manager? Do you think that there is something else behind the scenes? In addition, for your support:  Make an estimation on potential risks that may appear during the steps you identified in Question B)  Do not focus your answer in financial (budget) and technical details, as these are not available in the case study. Instead try to disclose any managerial and operational implications based on the information provided on the case study. • Dear Colleagues, this is your Mid Term Assignment. The deadline is Sunday 06 of May 2018. The word limit is 1500 Words, however, assignments with less words are equally accepted. The specific (revised and adapted) case study, centers around managerial and operational implications which are encountered every day in modern organizations. The aim of the case study, is to present the vague organizational structure which several enterprises have created and how this particular structure may influence the daily operations of organizations. For this you have to answer three easy questions. Please, try to answer these questions without overthinking and over-analyzing. Just write your first thoughts after reading the case study. More specifically for: Q A) – Just try to think how the organizational structure of an organization may support or impede daily operations of an organization, and then become more specific by using information from the case study Q B) – Just think the most important steps, when you want to create a new, or improve an existing product / service and briefly describe them. You should not focus on Technical details and/or financial details, since these are embedded in specific steps. You will soon find out that the these steps (5 or 6 steps total) are common and irrespective of the product / or service per se. Since these steps are management steps and not technical Q C) – Based on the steps identified in Q B), you should think and write any potential risks and operational implications that may emerge while implementing these steps. Feel free to elaborate on these risks, and if you want you may also prioritize these risks based on the potential impact that may have on the overall New product development. That is some risks – if they are materialized, they may result in Total failure, while some other risks may delay the completion of the new mobile phone. Finally, for those students, which are interested to use specific tools to support their answer (though this is not mandatory), below they may found two well known templates which are used from Operations Manager. Template A) – Time Schedule Report – Easy to use template, in order to depict which of the steps and sub tasks identified in Q B) may run in parallel in order to maintain the time limit (8 months) Template B) – Work Break down Report – Easy to use template to graphically represent the required steps and sub tasks for Q B). For those students who want to concentrate the risks identified in Q C), in a unified report, just search in the internet for “Risk Register Report”, select the most convenient for you and write the risks in this report. I remain at your disposal for any further information required. • Time Schedule ReportFile • Project Work Breakdown Report
