The question is whether or not an employer should implement an “English only” policy at work. Another question is to discuss your feelings regarding employers who write job announcements with a requirement of fluency in a foreign language as a mandatory condition of employment. If you were perfectly qualified with all the necessary experience, education, and skills needed for a job and denied due to not speaking a foreign language would you feel discriminated against? Why or why not?
