Describes the historical significance of HIV/AIDS nationally and internationally
Students are required to watch The Age of AIDS documentary series (Full Movie, Parts 1 and 2) and compose a 5-page paper that (a) describes the historical significance of HIV/AIDS nationally and internationally, (b) discusses how the disease has evolved over time, (c) describes what is being done locally, nationally or internationally to improve prevent or mitigate this public health problem, and (d) identifies further possible methods to address this objective, providing scientific evidence (citations!) for the recommendations. Think about your understanding of social determinants of health and health inequities, and discuss its relevance to the HIV/AIDS epidemic throughout your paper.
