Works of architecture often reflect the values and concerns of the person(s) who commissioned them. Often, we see wealthy individuals’ tastes and concerns reflected in the art. Sometimes, we see the desires and goals of an institution.

In your response, discuss how patrons specifically influenced the style and appearance of specific works of architecture. Compare and contrast specific works of architecture from two cultures we are studying this week (Early Renaissance, High Renaissance, Mannerism, Northern Renaissance).
