For this research you must choose an issue related to the “world of drugs” (i.e., the scandal “Iran-Contra”, the death of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, the relationship between the growth of Miami and drug trafficking, the production of Opium in U.S. controlled war zones in Asia) and compare critically how this issue is documented by popular culture (book, documentary, television series, etc.).
Remember, this is not just a recount of a historical event. You need to find a cultural production (film, etc.) and contrast/compare with a historical situation! This comparison is MANDATORY for this task.
