Critical Reflection Guidelines

Your critical reflection can be on one, a combination of, or all these topics: eating to live and be healthy, maintaining a healthy weight, and your personal fitness.References are to be in APA format. Your reflection is not a summary of the content covered in the assigned readings, or class discussions. Answer the following questions in three separate paragraphs. Paragraphs are to be written with a minimum of 4-6 sentences with enough detail and clarification that someone outside our class would be able to understand what you are trying to convey in your reflection.

  • Content reflection: “What have you learned about these topics that relates to your lifestyle behaviors or others you are close to that have made you look at these behaviors differently? Explain in detail.”
  • Premise reflection: “Why do you believe as a college student that being aware of these topics are critical to your health? Give examples.”

Process reflection: “How does the medical model or the public health model you have learned about previously frame the way you think about treating, preventing, or designing a program for the topics covered in the last two weeks? Give supporting details.”
