Description: A new edited book has been planned for 2018. This book contains short essays about leadership in space and place. Its intended title is Contextualising Leadership and you are asked to write a short essay that articulates your experience of leadership within your own cultural context and compare that to our Aotearoa/New Zealand situation. Format: Your submission must use the format found in scholarly edited books. There are a number of these books in the Library that you can use for guidance. You will need to use about 6–8 key references to provide the scholarly underpinning for your writing. Length: The word limit is 1500 words. Particular assessment guidelines: While the general assignment criteria apply in this case, you should pay particular attention to the following questions: • Does the tone of your essay invite the reader into a compelling narrative? • Does the content of your chapter include a mix of analytical and prescriptive elements? • Are the analytical features discussed in sufficient depth? • Is there some use of case study or illustrative examples? Will readers be able to grasp the particular character of the phenomena you are investigating from these events?
