Interview someone who is currently employed in the health care industry, ideally a Christian, though that is not necessary. Pose the following questions to them and include their responses in your post: – What kinds of ethical issues have you faced? How prepared are you to respond to them? – What principles or standards do you consider in making those ethical decisions? – What kinds of resources or training might be helpful for you when faced with such ethical challenges? Given the response in your interview, consider that almost every medical or technological advance seems to be accompanied by new and vexing ethical dilemmas. Yet the United States has no structure in place to resolve such issues. Should the federal or state governments take responsibility for ethical decision-making and for protecting the public? If neither, what might be other options for providing ethical guidelines and oversight? In your response, also consider your interview and propose a potential solution for some of these issues.
