Health condition that impacts speech, language, hearing, voice, and/or swallowing disorder in children and/or adults

Students will write a research paper on a health condition that impacts speech, language, hearing, voice, and/or swallowing disorder in children and/or adults (from a list of selected topics). Each student will write a research paper that contains 6 double-spaced typed pages and adheres to Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th ed.). A maximum of 10 pages will be allowed, including the title page and references. Based on a five pages of content (not including the title page or references): a. Introduce the health condition; include a definition, incidence/prevalence, and other statistics. b. Describe how the health condition impacts anatomy, physiology and/or neurology; include the symptomatology, prognosis, and mortality/morbidity, life expectancy. c. Describe how the health condition impacts speech, language, hearing, voice, and/or swallowing d. Describe evidence-based treatment/management approaches for individuals with the health condition.
