For this task, you have just been hired as the Athletic Director at Hillside College. Hillside is a small Division III school that has trouble retaining its personnel. Department staff members appear to do just enough work to delay their terminations while they seek their next jobs.

Analyze the current situation. Then, write an essay that describes what is occurring. What do you see as the major issues? Then, explain how you would change the culture of this stagnant department since there are no functional human resource practices or human relations interactions in place?

Be sure to include the mission statement, goals, and vision for Hillside College. Describe how you will incorporate your staff to be an integral part of these.

What are some important strategies that you would implement from a human resources perspective to change the attitude of department members whose only current goal is to  “find their next job?”
