If a patient’s rights have been violated, what can a medical assistant do to help the patient? Please give an example. A medical assistant can promote the patient’s Bill of Rights by helping the patient understand what their Bill of Rights are and to make sure they are protected. Also, a medical assistant makes sure that the patient receives the proper care, be understanding and considerate of the patient’s health visit. If a patients’ rights have been violated you have to inform the patient that their rights have been violated, tell them exactly what happened and how you are going to take the necessary actions to fix this issue.
