How Computers/Technology Impacts the Legal Field
Term Project: This project is designed to provide students an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and proficiency of course competencies. All parts of the project must minimally reflect the complexity of related textbook chapters, as well as relate to a single approved, computer-related topic (i.e., “How Computers/Technology Impacted [Your Topic] Legal Field”). Students are assigned a topic, but may request approval of another via email. Projects must be submitted ON or BEFORE the start of class on 12/8. All three files must be created and saved using OFFICE 2016 and submitted in digital and printed formats in a clear plastic envelope, including a coversheet described in ‘Submission of Work’ above. Term projects will be reduced by 10% for each of the following: NOT presentation-ready at the start of class, NOT submitted in full at the start of class, time-stamped after the start of class, tardy arrival or absence, early departure, and/or doing anything other than courteously observing all presentations; WORD 500 word document formatted using MLA standards & Works Cited page w/3 references (use WORD 2016 MLA template & include copies of references) 100 points EXCEL Workbook with formatted data, merged and centered titles, aligned row & column headings, 5 columns, 5 rows, chart, formula & 2 printed pages:1 is portrait normal values view centered horizontally w/chart & 1 is landscape formulas view w/chart (using instructions from Personal Expenses Budget Lab) Formatted presentation with 8 slides, most slides with title and two content including bulleted lists, images & meaningful Excel chart (not spreadsheet), print 1 or 2 slides per page (using instructions from Personal Autobiography Lab)
