Many historians, believe the Civil War, including aspects of slavery didn’t just end in 1865, but are actually still alive within today’s society, both in positive and negative aspects. How could a war fought over 140 years ago still be so steadfast in our society? Utilize any type of source material (books, magazines, movies, the internet, and etc) to discuss and cite specific examples of how this is true or not true. You may look at positive views, negative views, or compare and contrast both. Write your findings within at least a three and a half page paper citing specific examples and utilizing your opinion as to what you found, and why.
