Include the pope’s influence on Rome from a political and religious/spiritual standpoint. Mention when the pope’s were stationed in Avignon, France and what differences existed then. Also speak of other people in history who may or may not have been associated with Catholic Church but had a great influence on the Vatican and the papal election process.
