Weekly Writing Assignment 3 on: 1) international issues in the victimization. of woman 2) theories on female offending Instructions: For this writing assignment you will be turning in a (500+ word) journal that will be both a summary of sections V & VI, and a critical analysis of EITHER readings (9 & 10) OR (11 & 12). You must indicate in your introduction which readings you will be critiquing. This assignment will be graded on a 5-category scale/rubric: 1. Grammar, syntax, use of in-text citations, and a works cited page: All must follow a consistent citation format APA, MLA, ASA. Please inform me of your writing style on your works cited page (I.e. “Works Cited APA” or “Works Cited MLA”). You will be deducted points for failing to cite information that is not your own. 2. Format: This assignment must be written as 500+ word essay, formatted as 12pt font Times New Roman, 1-inch margin, and double-spaced submission. An example has been provided below. 3. Content: You must show that you understand the material presented in the section readings and Power Points. Be sure to provide a summary and analysis of both the material in Section V & VI. 4. Critical Analysis: Identify and explain the argument the authors are making in Readings (9 & 10) or (11 & 12). Evaluate their argument based on theoretical observations, content provided, and evidence supported. Reflect on how you prove your own argument. Conclude by highlighting the importance of your argument and note any potential gaps for additional research or analysis. 5. Execution of the structure of your paper. Your paper should include an introduction, concise summary of the material you have analyzed, your argument & critique of the readings, and a conclusion. Each category is rated on a scale of (E=Excellent, G=Good, N=Needs Improvement).
