Juvenile Incarceration

Research Paper: Every student will select a topic from the assigned textbook for an in-depth research. Students shall be prepared to write a 5page research paper of an approved topic using scholarly references to present their knowledge of the subject. ​​ The selected topic for research shall be approved by seventh week of class. Topics can be selected from textbook or other scholarly sources that involve concepts regarding juvenile crime or current issues affecting youth and crime (e.g. Juvenile Court System, Juvenile Detention or Incarceration, Juvenile waived to the adult system, Juvenile and truancy). Written Papers shall include the following: Cover Sheet:​Name, Date, Title of Coarse, and Professor’s name in upper left margin. Title of Paper shall be centered at the top. Paper Content: Research shall be presented in APA style with Times New Roman or Arial format and 12” font and one inch margins. Page numbers shall be placed on the bottom center of each page. Bibliography page: Cite all referenced sources.
