The project sponsor has approached you, the project manager, with a dilemma. At the company’s board meeting, the CEO announced to the Board of Directors that the project you are managing is on scheduled and will be completed within the next 30 days. The meeting is over and the stockholders expect implementation to be completed by the date announced. At your next project meeting you begin to have concerns with one of the components of the project slipping. As the project manager, what would be the best course of action?
