In Week 1, you need to identify a real world US company and a target country for the aforementioned assignments. You will need to stick to the same Company/Country you choose for all above mentioned assignments. You are not permitted to use different companies and different target countries for the above mentioned assignments.

Assignment Steps

• Think of an existing US company that wants to enter an international market.
• Think of a country that you want to bring the US company’s product or service to.
• Write a brief paragraph clearly stating the name of the company, the year it was founded, where it is headquartered and describe which country you plan to enter and which region that country belongs to. For example, if you choose McDonalds as your company, and choose Vietnam as the country you plan to enter; the region is South East Asia. If you choose Apple Inc. as your company and Finland as your target country, the ‘region’ will be Northern Europe.
• Please be realistic in your choice of target country. As a global manager, your goal should be to enter markets which have the purchasing power to buy your product or service. The objective of your plan should be to successfully penetrate that market.
• PLEASE OBTAIN PRIOR INSTRUCTOR APPROVAL ON THE CHOICE OF YOUR COMPANY, PRODUCT/SERVICE AND TARGET HOST MARKET.

Compose a one paragraph description that you will submit. Please include a Title page and any reference sources as a separate page to your one paragraph description. There is no minimum word count.
