What consequences does it bring about? -What view of human beings, and of human existence, does the author seem to be portraying in this work, and how does the monster figure in his/her observations? -What is the author’s attitude towards the monstrous? What is the moral or message that the author seems to be conveying through this attitude? -What do these works seem to indicate about how monsters are portrayed and regarded in the specific genre/time period to which they belong? -What do they tell you about the worldview and value system of the culture/age to which they belong? -Are the monsters portrayed/regarded differently in these works than in some of the earlier works that we dealt with in the class? If so, so what?
