The purpose of this assignment is to assess your analysis and application of the concepts and content of Lessons 5–7. In Lesson 5, you studied the development of speech, language, and cognition. In Lesson 6, you studied self and sexuality. In this lesson, you studied moral development, relationships, and family life. Building on the Signature Assignment in Lesson 4, in this Signature Assignment, you will reflect on what you learned in Lessons 5–7 and how this knowledge builds on or adds to what you have learned throughout the class. The Signature Assignment is a culmination of Lessons 5–7; an application and reflection of the topics learned; and should be 750–1000 words in length. Instructions: Based on the career or professional practice identified in Lesson 4 Signature Assignment, complete the following: 1. Reflect on what you have learned in these lessons (Lessons 5–7). Select a topic, concept, or idea from each of these three lessons, and write a summary of your reflection of what you learned. 2. Describe how you could use each concept in your current or future practice. In your reflection and explanation, explain how each of the topics are related to the whole individual. In other words, how are the disparate topics related? 3. Summarize how the topics from Lessons 5–7 build on what you learned in Lessons 1–4 to gain a greater understanding of how individuals develop through the life span. 4. Write in complete sentences, and spell check your work.
