Research on a recent security breach in a company

As I’m sure you have heard, hackers all over the world are continuing to targeting large visible companies with weak security system to retrieve customer/client data. Companies from Target, Home Depot, Anthem, and the most recent Ashley Madison have all been targets. The data retrieved from the company systems may be used to blackmail the company or the hackers may be looking to shut down a site for its motives. Any reason can cause major damage to a company’s image and financial situation. For your assignment, do an Internet or library search for a recent security breach for a business/company. Write a 2-3 page paper and include a summary of the incident you researched, discuss the situation and the impacts of the breach, especially the financial and privacy impacts. In the discussion include what a CEO/CIO could do to better protect client data? What components should be included in protecting information privacy and confidentiality? What concepts are important to information security policies and procedures? Include a title page including your name and the business/company (does not count toward 2 -3 pages). The assignment is worth 100 points, 70 points for content, 20 points for execution (grammar, spelling), and 10 points for title page/references. Points will be deducted for grammatical or spelling errors, so proofread carefully. Remember to cite all references using APA format.
