Response to The Savoyard Fiscal-Military State

You will write , 3-4 page papers based on sthe reading. The purpose of these short response papers will be to come up with and analyze scholarly arguments, draw connections to what you learn in lecture, and write strong, succinct academic papers. These will be graded on whether or not they have a thesis sentence with a clear argument, the strength, clarity and development of the argument, the use of evidence from the sources, and writing style.
