Consider the following:  Jamie recently attended training for a local environmental volunteer organization.  She expected that this training would prepare her to lead local river clean-ups with school children.

The training took place in the local library’s computer lab and focused on the history of the organization, its mission, the roles and responsibilites of the full-time staff, and an overview of their programs.  Jamie is tasked with setting up the first river clean-up in six weeks.  However, she does not know what her next steps should be, even after the training.

In your initial response:

  • Share two or three reasons you do not believe the training was effective.
  • Discuss two reasons you believe the Analysis phase could have prevented the problems.
