Need help with these 2 discussion questions from the Poem

“Sir Gawain and the Green Knight”Faith and Devotion

Religious devotion is mentioned at various points in “Sir Gawain”; after all, the action of the poem takes place at Christmas.  Who goes to Mass?  Who goes to Confession? Do they treat this religious devotion with reverence?  Is there a difference between how the courts at Camelot and at Hautdesert treat Mass?  How religious does Gawain appear to be?  What indications are there that he is religious, and to whom does he direct his devotions?  What role does the Virgin Mary play in this poem, or in Medieval Catholicism?
