Strategies for communicating with patients.

The handout should include the following: At least 10 strategies for communicating with patients. Specific examples of how to communicate, including body language, facial expressions, tone, eye contact, physical contact, etc. All of these strategies needs to be research-based methods of communication. At least 5 strategies for communicating with family members. Specific examples should be included that pertain to the body language, facial expressions, tone, eye contact, physical contact, etc. All of these strategies needs to be research-based methods of communication. This handout should be easy to read and use Standard Academic U.S. English and complete sentences. References should be noted in APA formatting after each strategy. Students should consult at least three different sources that would be considered reliable healthcare reference sites.
