Supreme Court ruling on voting in America

You are not limited by cases we covered in class. But each case must have been decided by the Supreme Court and have a direct tie to voting in America.

For each case please include the following:

I. Overview of the issue that the court was considering. Brief history of this issue

II. How did the issue get before the court? Walk through if stared with a legislative action, state action, lower court rulings, appeal, etc.

III. Summarize the decision and rationale of the majority

IV. Summarize the dissenting option and rationale of the minority

V. Explain (if applicable) any legislative response to this decision VI. Conclusion: Write your personal opinion on this decision and how you would have ruled if you had been on the bench and why

Three cases should be: (Plessy v. Ferguson), (Brown v. Board of Education), (Shelby County v. Holder)
