From the perspective of your management responsibility as defined by your functional role, research the Target Canada’s business performance, strategy and policy direction(web, newspapers, “stockwatch.com” or other reports etc.) and how “your functional” area of responsibility contributed to Target’s failure in Canada. Consider the external environment as well as the company’s resources and competitive strengths. Perform your own SWOT analysis to better understand the company and how your specific “functional area of responsibility and department” impacted the success or failure. Write a report to your management team explaining your departments contribution to the company’s failure.
