The Happy Village Police Department jurisdiction currently covers 2.7 square miles with a predominately Hispanic community of approximately 70% and the Democrat party dominates the town with a 100% controlled board. Currently the department’s table of organization is as follows; (1) Chief of Police, (1) Deputy Chief of Police, (1) Captain of Investigations, (1) Captain of Patrol, (1) Lieutenant of Patrol, (1) Detective Sergeant, (1) Internal Affairs Sergeant (4) Patrol Sergeants, (5) Detectives, (21) Patrol Officers, (3) Part-Time Officers, and (3) Civilian Support Staff.
