The Effect of Slavery on Southern Religion, and vice versa

Write a six to eight-page research paper (minimum 1500 words) 1) State and describe the topic being addressed 2) Consider the interplay between religion and its socio-historical, economic, and political context (How do these mutually influence each other?) 3) Consider theologically how study of this topic how study of this topic helps to better understand America religious faith, and 4) provide a correlation between the topic being addressed and contemporary American religious experience. Papers should be double-spaced with 1” margins and 12-point font. Citations and bibliography can be MLA, APA, or Turabian format but should include page numbers. Papers should be submitted in WORD (not as a PDF) so I can use the “Track changes” feature to give feedback on them. You should have at least five academic sources, at least two of which are books. You may of, course, use the course texts but they do not count in your five sources; you need five additional sources. The Bible also does not count as one of your five sources.
