Television and computer usage it in terms of the affect viewing each has on language and cognitive development and the impact of each on aggression in children (pages 188-191).  For the discussion board this week, please view one television show designed for preschool children. Please provide a brief summary of the program. Please then respond to the following questions:

1) Did the program intentionally aim at providing an educational message? If so, what was the intended message?

2) How many aggressive or violent acts are in the show? Briefly describe one. Try and explain this scene through the eyes of a preschooler (e.g., what might he or she be thinking or concluding)

3) Do you think the program promotes language development? Explain.

4) Would you let your own preschool child view this television show? Explain why or why not.
