Question Description

  1. Read Chapter 2 in We the People and the Declaration of Independence (found in the appendix of your textbook). In a short 1-2 page essay, describe what events you read about in the textbook that are specifically mentioned in the Declaration of Independence. As part of this discussion, consider whether the patriots were justified in their rebellion against England? If you had been there, would you have sided with the loyalists (colonial elite) or with the patriots (radicals)? How did these events impact the Constitution? Explain your answers.
